Our work for
CyberMedia

CyberMedia's flagship products were First Aid for Windows and First Aid 95. We wanted to take advantage of the $20+ million promotional effort that created desire for Windows 95, so we positioned First Aid 95 as the product that helps Windows 95 live up to its promise.

Windows 95 was a graphical 'overlay' to DOS. It was such a complex system that it regularly produced work-stopping problems -- problems First Aid 95 was designed to fix. It seemed appropriate to ask users and prospective purchasers of Windows 95 to think about the down side. GPFs, hangs and crashes caused by broken pathnames, missing DLLs, bad fonts, etc.

By building on the millimultimillion dollar 'Where do you want to go today' campaign, we were able to contextualize our solutions to Windows users' problems. We simply asked: "Where do you NOT want to go today?"
